About this coffee: After the Second World War, the situation in the far east remained unstable and many European countries who had agricultural interests in the region were looking for other countries to invest in.
One French group who had massive contracts in palm oil and rubber in Malaysia, decided to look in setting up plantations in East Africa. The group sent their agent, Mr. Jas Nicoll, who was given the mission of finding “Any country, and any crop”. Mr Nicoll quickly realise that Kenya was the country and coffee was the crop.
He quickly acquired four coffee farms and regrouped them under one name Mchana. The farm quickly gained a reputation for quality and for producing coffee with berry & dried fruit flavours.
