About this coffee: This Kenyan coffee was produced by the farmers of the Ritho Farmers’ Cooperative Society (FCS) which is one of the youngest Cooperative in Kenya. The farms that create the Ritho FCS are located outside of Nirobi, in the growing region of Kiambu.
The region is known for its high altitudes and growing conditions, which results in coffee with a higher sweetness and less bitterness. Kenyan coffee also benefits from the variety’s that where developed in Scott Labs In the 1930’s. The lab developed several different coffee varieties, but the two that are still in cultivation today are SL-28 & SL-34. Both are recognised for their exceptional cup quality.
