Guatemala, Finca la Provindencia Filter

Apple & Chocolate
What we think: This is the second year we have bought from Finca la Provindencia, and it will not be the last year either. Tastes like an apple crumble when drunk as a flat white of latte, and has a rich dark chocolate aftertaste.
About this coffee: The Palacios family have owned their farm in Guatemala since 1954. Providencia is grown high in the mountains of Huehuetenango where due to the regions very steep inclines farming can easily cause damage to the surrounding land.
Following the introduction of eco-pulpers and by keeping much of the farm protected by forest, the Palacios family have helped to significantly reduce the impact of coffee farming on their local environment. Coffees from this region are often famed for having bright acidity with a full body and Provindencia is no exception.
Expect to find flavour notes of green apple, marmalade with a milk chocolate finish.
