What we think: As an espresso, the El Aguila has all ‘boozy’ sweetness that you would expect from a naturally processed coffee. When brewed as a filter the full complexity of this coffee are allowed to bloom.
About this coffee: El Aguila owner Mauricio Ariz and his sons are committed to producing the very best coffee and the up-keep of the surrounding local forest which surrounds the farm.
The farm is meticulously managed, shade trees have been planted to provide natural shade and fertilization is performed after soil analysis and weed control has been taken care of. Naturally processed coffees like this one are difficult to produce, they require constant attention and quick decision making, to avoid any defects from spoiling their bold fruity flavours.
What makes this coffee even more impressive is that it was produced without the use of any herbicides. Bursting with flavours of mango, melon and dried fruits
